Multilevel spondylosis

It affects more than one part of the spine.

Symptoms of Spondylosis

– Stiffness & mild pain that worsens after inactive periods.
– A grinding feeling while moving the spine
– Hands or legs weakness

– Associated chronic headache
– Poor coordination & difficulty walking in severe cases
– Loss of bladder or bowel control (If spinal cord is affected)

Ayurvedic Causative Fact

- Sitting in the same position for hours.
- Inaccurate posture while reading, writing.
- Some spinal injury or trauma
- Long term fear, anger, grief & stress
- Starving for longer durations
- Incompatible meal combinations
- Suppressing natural urges to urinate, defecate etc.
- Staying up late at night
- Intake of food at irregular intervals
- Exposure to cold winds

All the above factors aggravate Vata.

Ayurvedic Pathogenesis

According to ayurveda, spondylosis is caused due to the aggravated vata dosha that gets lodged in between the vertebral discs causing degeneration and wear & tear of the spine. It may even lead to disability in the long term.
